A short service of prayers and readings

St Mary’s, Market Drayton

The Church of England Daily Prayer
Both contemporary and from the Book of Common Prayer are available. You can download the free version of Daily Prayer, which gives the full service for Common Worship Morning and Evening Prayer and Compline – for both Apple and Android, as well as Time to Pray, which is also free www.churchofengland.org/prayer-and-worship/join-us-service-daily-prayer

Reflection and meditative prayer
Pray As You Go, from the Jesuits has a daily Bible Reading with music and reflection. There are also special reflections for this time of “lock-down” – “Pray as you Stay”, as well as Mental health awareness exercises, Retreat Series, and aids to prayer www.pray-as-you-go.org/home The App is free to download
BBC Radio 4 (long wave)
Has a short daily service every morning, 9.45 – 10.00
UCB Christian Radio
As well as has music, UCB has Bible studies, discussions etc. www.ucb.co.uk The Word for Today is also available online at UCB’s website in the Read section.

We have services most Sundays in each of our churches.
Ightfield 9.30am Services in Ightfield use Common Worship liturgy to comply with Covid guidelines the liturgy is displayed to a screen and congregational hymns are not currently permitted. We have also had to suspend serving refreshments following the service.
Calverhall 11am Services in Calverhall usually use the Book of Common Prayer and are more traditional in style.
Adderley 9.30am Currently twice monthly. Services in Adderley use Common Worship liturgy but often have a slightly more Celtic feel.
Moreton Say 11am Services in Moreton Say use Common Worship, typically two Communion services and two Morning Prayer.
Moreton Say 6.30pm On the 2nd Sunday each month we have a BCP Communion service in Moreton Say.
Ash 9.30/11am Services in Ash use Common Worship liturgy and are at 9.30am and are currently twice monthly.
Benefice Services 10.30am 4th Sunday of the Month Benefice Family Communion services are currently suspended due to Covid social distancing requirements.
